Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies (CSLS), as part of a new ERC funded project: EURO-EXPERT (Cultural Expertise in Europe: What is it useful for?). You will work with Dr Livia Holden (PI) carrying out research into the area of cultural expertise.

This project develops around a new integrated concept of cultural expertise to empirically investigate its use and impact in 14 European countries. In-context data will be collected through ethnographic fieldwork conducted by a modular team allowing real time analysis and immediate use of results by the stakeholders. Applicants should have a completed doctorate and relevant experience in the social sciences; possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline; ability to manage own academic research and associated activities; excellent communication skills including the ability to write for publications, present research proposals and results, and represent the research network at meetings.

The post will be based in the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, Manor Road Building, Manor Road, Oxford, OX1 3UQ. The post is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) until 30 September 2021.
