On Friday January 13 between 13.00 – 15.00 (room C 1.04 of the Old Observatory) there will be another Leiden Socio-Legal Lecture! We are honored to welcome Kim Lane Scheppele, Laurance S. Rockefeller Professor of Sociology and International Affairs in the Woodrow Wilson School and the University Center for Human Values at Princeton, to Leiden.
This lecture is co-organized by the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance & Society and the INFAR research project at Erasmus University Rotterdam, with which Kim Lane Scheppele is affiliated as Visiting research professor. Integrating Normative and Functional Approaches to Rule of Law and Human Rights (INFAR) is a collaborative interdiciplinary research project between Erasmus School of Law (ESL), the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), and the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC), studying the historical, philosophical and socio-legal context of the ideas of rule of law and human rights
