The Journal of the Oxford Centre for Socio-Legal Studies (JOxCSLS), formerly known as the Oxford Socio-Legal Review (OSLR), is an independent journal published in e-format by the doctoral students of the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies (CSLS) of the University of Oxford. The first OSLR was created by a group of doctoral students at the CSLS in 2010 and re-established in its current form in 2015. Having started as a traditional academic journal, in its new form the OSLR supports the development, improvement, publication and promotion of scholarly and contemporary writing regarding socio-legal studies at the University of Oxford and beyond. It provides a venue for early career scholars to test and publish new ideas and explore creative approaches to socio-legal studies and writing with the aim of analysing, exploring and understanding contemporary and past issues of law and society.
