Pre-Conference PhD Workshop at 2016 ECPR Standing Group on Regulatory Governance Conference
On the Tuesday before the conference, 5 July 2016, a pre-conference PhD/graduate workshop will be held. This one-day event will be focused on professional skill development, including scientific writing, communicating research findings, and publication strategies. Sessions will be taught by senior scholars in the field, and will be highly interactive.
The goal of this program is to help develop the next generation of regulatory governance scholars by building networks between graduate students and senior faculty, providing a dialogue platform for the individual research projects of the participants, and stimulating future exchange across institutions within the ECPR Standing Group on Regulatory Governance community.
A competitive application process will be used to select participants for the workshop. Those interested in applying will need to submit the following:
- Current CV
- 1-2 page motivation letter outlining the applicant’s current research project and how participation in the workshop will benefit the applicant
Participation in the workshop will be free of charge for those selected. In addition, there will be a limited number of fee waivers and travel grants for participants from emerging economies to help cover the costs associated with attending the workshop and conference.
