We invite proposals for individual papers and/or panels for the Sixth Biennial Conference of the ECPR Standing Group on Regulatory Governance, to be organized by Tilburg University, the Netherlands, from July 6 to 8, 2016.

Leading Interdisciplinary Conference
The Biennial Conference is the leading interdisciplinary conference on regulation and regulatory governance held in Europe, attracting researchers from all over the globe working in a wide range of disciplines.
Theme and Topics
The 2016 edition of the Standing Group Biennial Conference will focus on the challenges facing regulatory governance in a turbulent world. The conference welcomes papers and panels addressing topics, including (but not limited to):
- Regulatory actors, networks and institutions
- Regulatory policymaking and politics
- Regulatory enforcement and compliance
- Sector-specific regulation, including regulation of network industries
- Legitimacy, effectiveness, accountability, responsiveness, transparency and innovation of regulation and regulatory governance
- Regulatory governance in local, regional, national, transnational and global perspectives
- Risk regulation
- Collaborative regulatory governance, co-regulation and self-regulation
- Regulation of novel and emerging technologies
- Data-based regulation and regulatory governance
- Evaluating and monitoring regulatory governance
Call for Papers and Panels deadline
The deadline for paper and panel proposals is 15 November 2015. All proposals will undergo peer review and notifications of acceptance will be sent out by 15 January 2016. Full papers should be made available by 15 June 2016.

Pre-Conference PhD/Graduate Workshop
An exciting, new feature of the 2016 edition of the Standing Group Biennial Conference will be a pre-conference PhD/graduate workshop focused on professional skill development, held on the Tuesday before the conference, 5 July 2016.
Fees and Grants
Information on the conference fee, which we expect to be able to set at a level comparable to previous editions of the conference, will be made available in September. We expect to have a small number of grants/fee waivers available.
